Exploring HxGN Enterprise Asset Management 12.1 latest upgrades

Touchstone Energy is currently working with clients on implementing the latest version of Hexagon’s best-in-class Enterprise Asset Management solution – HxGN EAM version 12.1

Over 100 enhancements have been made to the already acclaimed Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management (HxGN EAM) software, the highlights of which include:

Databridge Pro: The next-gen multi-tenant middleware and integration broker module

Databridge Pro adds a cutting-edge middleware and integration solution to HxGN EAM 12.1 that’s poised to redefine the integration landscape and propel organisations into a new era of efficiency and connectivity. Its features include:

  • Data Flow Studio – A new user-friendly Graphical UI that empowers users to seamlessly construct, configure, and automate integration process flows.
  • Support for BOD, RESTful API, oData, and other interface contracts via the new “DataFlow Controller” tool
  • Powered by Apache NiFi to support powerful and scalable direct data routing, transformation and system mediation logic

Document Enhancements: Increasing authority and security within EAM

HxGN EAM 12.1 has enhanced authority, traceability and security over system documentation with these key new features:

  • The introduction of document locking provides users with the authority to prevent unwarranted alterations to critical documentation. This feature ensures document integrity, fostering a secure and controlled environment for your vital files.
  • A new sidebar preview feature is seamlessly integrated into the record view providing users with an intuitive and accessible way to view document attachments. For environments utilizing Amazon S3 storage, the Enterprise Asset Management software now automatically generates thumbnail images of the documents.
  • A new document history feature now displays historical versions of attached files. Users can now view all previous versions of the file as well as the document change history.

HxGN EAM Workflows: Streamlining Workflow Approvals Across Functions

A key new feature of HxGN EAM 12.1 is the new “Workflows” module that enables organisations to optimise their Purchase Order, Requisition, Case Management and Work Order approval workflows. Users can tailor workflow scenarios for sequential or parallel approval routes via a new module in the EAM desktop application. Once created, selected users can then approve transactions in either the EAM desktop or mobile applications.

Other Enhancements: Elevating EAM Capabilities

Additional enhancements boost the capabilities of HxGN EAM. These include:

  • The addition of seamless integration with Power BI, enabling users to effortlessly create and share compelling reports derived from their EAM data.
  • NFC (Near Field Communication) Scanning capability is now available in the Digital Work app for supported mobile devices, expanding accessibility and convenience.
  • Additionally, connectivity and functionality receive a boost with updated integration points for ArcGIS, MS Project, and AutoCAD applications.

These enhancements collectively expand functionality in all areas of the product and offer a greatly improved user experience.
