Bournville College Chooses TEEM Solution from Touchstone Group to Manage Corporate Client Interface


Bournville College has chosen TEEM (Touchstone Employee Engagement Manager) from Touchstone Group, leading AIM listed IT provider of integrated business software solutions and consultancy. The solution, built upon Microsoft Dynamics CRM, will be used as part of a new strategic approach, by the college, to enhance its relationship with corporate clients.

Located in Birmingham UK, Bournville College has established a widely acclaimed reputation for excellence in Community Education offering courses to sixth form students, adults and those seeking personal and professional development.

In recent years, the college has built a strong relationship with local companies too, offering either traditional college based training or bespoke courses on site. As part of a new strategy to enhance the college’s management of corporate clients and to promote a highly professional interface, Bournville College has chosen TEEM to support the work of its Business Development operation.

TEEM, helps Colleges of Further Education establish and manage key relationships with business clients and constituents such as governing bodies, skills brokers and other educational establishments.

Eddie Cottis, Project Manager at Bournville College, explains, “Most colleges now focus on the corporate and SME sectors; seeking to provide a range of flexible alternatives for training. Bournville College is a particularly attractive option for local businesses, given its excellent reputation for management and marketing courses amongst others. In keeping with our aim to provide the highest quality of service in all areas, we decided to invest in managing our interface with the local business community with TEEM. This allows our Business Development operation to target this sector more effectively, avoid duplication and ensure that there are no gaps.

“We chose TEEM, following an extensive review of the market, as we were especially impressed with its seamless integration with Microsoft Outlook and therefore it fitted well with our existing working practices. Once fully operational, we will look at how TEEM could help in other areas of the college.”
